2019年8月10日に、ノルウェー王国のバールムで、アル・ヌール・イスラミック・センター・モスク（Al-Noor Islamic Centre mosque）というところが銃撃されました。
詳細はさして興味がないので知らないのですが、犯人の近親が事件前に殺されたことと、白人至上主義によるものだとみられているそうです。
一方、ノルウェー皇太子ホーコン殿下（Crown Prince Haakon of Norway ： His Royal Highness The Crown Prince）は先週、連帯の表明のために同モスクを訪問したのですが、女性三人が殿下との握手を拒否し、代わりとなるものである（自分の）胸に手を当てるという行為をしました。これは、イスラム教徒（ムスリム）の中で伝統的な行動だとして認識されていますが、これに多数の批判が出た、ということです。
国王の叔父で長期に渡り首相の地位にあるバーレーン王国首相ハリーファ・ビン・サルマーン・アル・ハリーファ王子殿下（His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa）が空港で出迎え、そして会談をおこないました。
その後、バーレーン王ハマド・ビン・イーサ・アル・ハリーファ陛下（His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain）及び長男で継嗣のバーレーン皇太子サルマン・ビン・ハマド・ビン・イーサ・アル・ハリーファ王子殿下（サルマーン皇太子 ： His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince of Bahrain）とそれぞれ会見がなされています。
