急な発表ですが（特殊なことではないという説明はあります）、ノルウェー王ハーラル5世陛下（Harald V of Norway ： His Majesty The King）が入院、明日金曜日【2020年10月9日】に心臓手術を受ける模様です。
陛下は2005年の手術時に大動脈人工弁への置換をおこなっており、これが10～15年で交換が必要となるためで、特殊なことではないと説明されています。
また、局所麻酔・意識ありでの状態での手術になるようです。
少し前に、陛下は体調不良で呼吸に困難があり、新型コロナウイルス感染症【COVID-19】の検査結果は陰性であるため可能性から除外されたとの情報が出ていました。

翌7月25日には容態は安定しているとされています（後遺症が心配される類のものではあります）。
殿下はデンマーク女王マルグレーテ2世陛下の次男で、一家とともにフランス共和国滞在中でした。

2020年7月22日、英国王室のエディンバラ公爵フィリップ王子殿下（His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh）の英国陸軍 ザ・ライフルズ（The Rifles） の名誉連隊長【カーネル・イン・チーフ】（Colonel-in-Chief）退任の小式典と、コーンウォール公爵夫人カミラ妃殿下（Camilla ： Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall）による就任の小式典がそれぞれ別の場所でおこなわれました。
