　2021年7月21日、英国のアイルランド貴族／第9代アントリム伯爵アレクサンダー・マクドネル閣下（Alexander McDonnell, 9th Earl of Antrim, FRSA ： アントリム卿 ： Lord Antrim）が薨去した模様です。
　1935年2月3日生まれの86歳。

　薨去に伴い、子息のダンルース子爵ランダル・マクドネル（Randal McDonnell, Viscount Dunluce）が第10代伯爵となります。
　また、その子息のアレクサンダー・マクドネルが儀礼称号として新たにダンルース子爵を称するでしょう。

　なお、現在のアントリム伯爵の男系は、ロージアン侯爵などを保有するケアー家の傍系なので、同侯爵位などの継承順位に並んでいます。

　2021年6月22日、英国の連合王国貴族／第8代ロンズデール伯爵ヒュー・ラウザー閣下（Hugh Lowther, 8th Earl of Lonsdale）が薨去したようです。
　1949年5月27日生まれの72歳。

　薨去に伴い、弟のウィリアム・ラウザー（William Lowther）が爵位を継承します。

　2021年6月12日、英国のグレートブリテン貴族／第8代マウント・エッジカム伯爵ロバート・エッジカム閣下（Robert Edgcumbe, 8th Earl of Mount Edgcumbe ： The Right Honourable The Earl of Mount Edgcumbe）が薨去しました。
　1939年6月1日生まれの82歳。

　薨去に伴い、異母弟のピエール・エッジカム閣下（The Honourable Piers Edgcumbe）が第9代伯爵となり、またその弟のクリストファー・エッジカム閣下（The Honourable Christopher Edgcumbe）が継嗣のようです。

誕生（2021年6月4日）：リリベット・ダイアナ・マウントバッテン＝ウィンザー

　2021年6月4日、サセックス公爵ヘンリー王子殿下（Prince Henry ： ハリー王子 ： Prince Harry ： His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex）とサセックス公爵夫人メーガン妃殿下（Meghan ： Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex）の第二子・長女が誕生したようです。
　名は、リリベット・ダイアナ・マウントバッテン＝ウィンザー（Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor）となり、両親からはリリー（Lily）と呼ばれる見込みとのことです。

 

　なお、様々なことが続いた結果、昔から王室のニュースをチェックしてきた人々（欧州や米国を含む）のかなりの部分が、このニュースにさしたる関心を持っていないような状況になっています。
