　1931年8月23日生まれの87歳。

 

　1996年に一代貴族に叙され、2016年に貴族院【上院】を退任しています。

　英国のケント公爵家マイケル王子殿下（His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent）とマリー・クリスティン妃殿下（Marie Christine ： Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of Kent）は、2018年8月に、二人の娘のガブリエラ・ウィンザー令嬢（Lady Gabriella Windsor ： エラ・ウィンザー ： Ella Windsor）とトーマス・キングストン氏（Thomas Kingston ： トム・キングストン ： Tom Kingston）が婚約したことを発表したと報道されています。

　レディー・ガブリエラは1981年4月23日生まれの37歳。
　トム・キングストン氏は1978年6月22に生まれの40歳のようです。

　この二人は以前から話題になっていましたが（どちらかというとうちのようなニュースサイトよりもセレブ系の情報サイトでですが）、今回婚約、結婚式は来年【2019年】春となる見込みだそうです。

 

スコットランド紋章院が、ジョン・マイケル・ベイリー＝ハミルトン・ビュカナン氏をビュカナン氏族長として確認（2018年9月）337年ぶりの氏族長

　報道によりますと、スコットランド紋章院は、ジョン・マイケル・ベイリー＝ハミルトン・ビュカナン氏（John Michael Baillie-Hamilton Buchanan）が、空位だったビュカナン氏族長であると確認したようです。

　確認まで20年以上かかったとのこと。

　1681年に、第19代氏族長のジョン・ビュカナン（John Buchanan）が後継者なしで没して以来、337年間、氏族長は空位でしたが、今回の紋章院の確認で、空位時代が終わるようです。

　なおビュカナン氏族の団体のひとつでは、今回選出された氏族長を第23代としており、

In September 2018 John Michael Buchanan was confirmed by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, head of the Lyon Court in Scotland as 23rd Chief of the Name and Arms of Buchanan. He is the first Chief of the Clan in 337 years.

　こちらは、ジョン・ビュカナンを第22代とするカウントを採用しているようです。
