2018年10月7日のブラジル連邦共和国総選挙で、オルレアン＝ブラガンサ公子ルイス・フィリペ殿下（His Royal Highness Prince Luiz Filipe of Orléans-Braganza ： ： ルイス・フィリペ・デ・オルレアンス・イ・ブラガンサ ： Luiz Philippe de Orleans e Bragança ： Luís Filipe de Orléans e Bragança）が下院議員（代議院）に当選したようです。
ルイス・フィリペ殿下は1969年4月3日生まれの49歳。職業は政治学者、とあります。
ブラジル帝室（ヴァソウラス系）当主のブラジル皇子／オルレアン＝ブラガンサ公子ルイス殿下（His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Luiz of Brazil, Prince of Orléans-Braganza, Head of the Imperial House of Brazil）の甥。父ウード殿下（Eudes ： ポルトガル語及びブラジルでの一般的な発音不明）はルイス殿下（子供はいません）のすぐ下の弟で、その長男がルイス・フィリペ殿下です。
しかし、父のウード殿下は（1回目の）結婚前に自身と子孫のブラジル皇帝位継承権を放棄しています（貴賤結婚のためでしょう）。
よって、ルイス・フィリペ殿下は、ヴァソウラス系でもっとも年長系統の人物ですが、ブラジル皇帝位継承順位に並んでおらず、ブラジル帝室の一員でもありません（しかし、オルレアン＝ブラガンサの称号・敬称は権利放棄をした構成員及びその子孫にも引き続いて使用されています）。
ルイス・フィリペ殿下の妻、フェルナンダ殿下（Fernanda Hara Miguita ： フェルナンダ・ハラ・ミギタ？）は日系人という話もありますが……（Miguitaが父系の姓）。2012年に二人の間に子息のマクシミリアン殿下が誕生しています。
