2021年6月12日、英国のグレートブリテン貴族／第8代マウント・エッジカム伯爵ロバート・エッジカム閣下（Robert Edgcumbe, 8th Earl of Mount Edgcumbe ： The Right Honourable The Earl of Mount Edgcumbe）が薨去しました。
1939年6月1日生まれの82歳。
薨去に伴い、異母弟のピエール・エッジカム閣下（The Honourable Piers Edgcumbe）が第9代伯爵となり、またその弟のクリストファー・エッジカム閣下（The Honourable Christopher Edgcumbe）が継嗣のようです。
