　2025年5月16日、英国王チャールズ3世陛下（King Charles III ： His Majesty The King）とウェールズ公ウィリアム皇太子殿下（Prince William ： His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales）は、ウェストミンスター寺院でおこなわれたバス騎士団（バス勲章）300周年式典に臨席しました。

　ウィリアム殿下は、チャールズ3世陛下の即位に伴い空席となっていたバス騎士団の総長（バス騎士団では Great Master）に就任しました。

　2025年5月15日、ホロコースト生還者マーゴット・フリートレンダー（Margot Friedländer ： マルゴット・フリードレンダー）の葬儀がベルリンで行われました（2025年5月9日に死去、ベルリン名誉市民）。

　プロイセン王室当主ゲオルク・フリードリヒ殿下（Georg Friedrich ： His Imperial and Royal Highness The Prince of Prussia ： ゲオルク・フリードリヒ・プリンツ・フォン・プロイセン ： Georg Friedrich Prinz von Preußen）は、彼女の財団の理事の一員のようです。

　ゲオルク・フリードリヒ殿下と妻ゾフィー妃殿下（Sophie ： Her Imperial and Royal Highness The Princess of Prussia ： イーゼンブルク公女）、
　および二人の四人の子供、

　2025年5月15日、天皇陛下（徳仁 ： なるひと ： Emperor Naruhito of Japan ： His Majesty【His Imperial Majesty】 The Emperor）は、来日しているスウェーデン王カール16世グスタフ陛下（Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden ： His Majesty The King）と会見、皇后陛下（雅子 ： まさこ ： Masako ： Her Majesty【Her Imperial Majesty】 The Empress）と共に夕餐を共にしました。

南アフリカ伝統的君主：ムポンド人の王室が新たな王にシロソーランガ・カダキレ・シカウ王（ヨリサ・シカウ王子）を選出と発表。東ケープ州州首相は先月、ドゥメラニ・シカウ王子を暫定的な王と認める声明を発表しており混乱が続く（2025年5月）

　2025年5月11日、ムポンド人の王室が新たな王にシロソーランガ・カダキレ・シカウ王（King Silosohlanga kaDakhile Sigcau ： ヨリサ・シカウ王子 ： Prince Yolisa Sigcau）を選出したことを発表しました。

　ムポンド人の王位については、1937年のマンドロンケ王（King Mandlonke）の崩御以降、争いが続いています。
　21世紀に入っても、2010年にズマ大統領がザノズコ・シカウ陛下（Kumkani Zanozuko Sigcau）を王と認めた後も、憲法裁判所から異論が出ました。
　2022年、同陛下の崩御後に、最高上訴裁判所が、同陛下の王位を無効と判断。女王位を求めていたウェジズウェ・シカウ王女（Wezizwe Sigcau）らの訴えを認めました
　2024年に憲法裁判所があらためて、故ザノズコ・シカウ陛下の王位を有効とし、これにより同王の継承者を選ぶ動きが本格化します。
　しかし、すでに、王室のほうは、故ザノズコ陛下の崩御後より、その息子であるヨリサ・シカウ王子を後継者として動いており、今回あらためて発表されました。
　一方、 4月 には東ケープ州首相オスカー・マブヤネ閣下（Premier Oscar Mabuyane）が、ドゥメラニ・シカウ王子（Prince Dumelani Sigcau）を暫定的な王として認めています。これは、ファク氏族（AmaFaku）によって主張されており、同氏族が故ザノズコ陛下を選出していることにより正統性があるとしています。また、州首相は、王家の名前を提示しないといけないことと、正統な王家とは前の王を選出した家になるということで、ファク氏族＝ファク王家がムポンドの王家である、ということにしないと法的なリスクがある……ようです。ともあれ、憲法裁判所が判断が何かあるらしく、州首相はそれを待っていて、そのためドゥメラニ王子が暫定的に王であると宣言されたようです。
　また、マンドロンケ王の孫（？）を称するベキ・シカウ（Bheki Sigcau）という人物も王位を求めているようです（が、続報はないんじゃないかなあと思っています）。マンドロンケ王は子供がいなかったということになっていますが……。

　なお、ムポンド人にはもう一人王が存在し、東のカウケニ王が通常ムポンド王とされており、西にはニャンデニ王が存在します。この扱いが正しいのかどうかわかりませんが……。
　ニャンデニ王マンガリソ・ンドロヴイェズウェ・ンダマセ陛下（King of AmaMpondo aseNyandeni Mangaliso Ndlovuyezwe Ndamase）は、言葉を選んでいますが、シロソーランガ・カダキレ・シカウ王を支持している、と取れます（そもそも訪問している時点で支持ですが）。
