2025年4月20日、ガーナ共和国の伝統的首長で、アシャンティ王国のマンポン公ダアセブレ・ナナ・オセイ・ボンス2世（Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II, Mamponghene）が薨去しました。
1939年12月31日生まれの85歳。
1996年8月25日にマンポン公位を継承し、1999年のアシャンティ王の空位期に摂政を務めていたようです。
マンポン公は、白銀の床几（Silver Stool）の保持者であり、黄金の床几（Golden Stool）の保持者であるアシャンティ王に次ぐ権威がある、ということです。
マンポンのクイーン・マザーであるナナ・アグヤコマ・ディフィエ2世（Nana Agyakoma Difie II, Mamponhemaa【Queen mother of Mampong】）とエジスのクイーン・マザー
ナナ・ヤァ・アサンテワァ2世（Nana Yaa Asantewaa II, Ejisu Hemaa【Queenmother of the Ejisu】）らから成る代表団がアシャンティ王オトゥムフオ・オセイ・トゥトゥ2世陛下（アシャンティ皇帝 ： His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, King【Emperor】 of the Ashanti Kingdom【Empire of Ashanti】【Asantehene of Asante】, Kumasehene of Kumasi）に薨去を報告、陛下より 2025年4月28日 に薨去が正式に発表されました。
